The Rest and Be Thankful July 1960 Basil Davenport in the GN Spyder ll just landing after the 'hump and bump" on the fast lower section of the course. The Spyder 2 was built by Davenport to replace the earlier Spyder around 1949. The car was powered by a vee twin, 2000cc, air cooled engine. Mounted on an HRG chassis, the engine drove the rear wheels by chains.
